Got Pink Slip? Dont worry. First finish all your formalities with the current employer. Do your job responsibully till the end of the day.
- Dont show anger on any of your colleage or on the boss.
- Thank them for giving the opportunity to work with them.
- give a honest exit interview.
- dont blame anyone, dont speak negatively about the company.
- Take the honest feedback from your boss and colleagues & wellwishers.
Next Step: Once you had finished all your exit formalities.
- Inform all your friends & ex-colleagues, that you are looking for a job and if any openings are there ask them to refer you.
- Update your latest CV and circulate the same to your network.Upload it in all the job portals.
- Keep looking for jobs in the local news papers.
- Mean while, you can update the subject knowledge with reading books, attending personality development classes, developing communication skills.
- sit back and think what is your positive points & negative points.Try to minimise the negative points.
- If you had taken any loans etc..try to convince your banker to wait for sometime for the repayment.
- Spend money cautiously.Try to avoid unnecessary expenses.
- Convey the problem to your family members. So that they can also, minimise their expenses and can support you morally and mentally.
- If the situation is bad, better to join in any part-time jobs.
-If you have personal skills, try to use them for job creation. Like Painting, Singing,Teaching.
- Keep job options open, dont restrict your self to job type, location etc
- If you have proper financial back up, then start pursueing new course, upgrade yourself.
Once you got the job:
- Work effectively,
- enjoy your work
- understand the business, mingle with new colleagues.
-Dont feel sunk, if it is not a suitable job for you.Manager until you get a suitable job.
-Behave properly with the customers, employees & with Boss. Keep in mind about the company's reputation.

- Avoid unnecessary expenses
- Make a provision for the rainy days by saving some amount of money.
- Ask your family members, if they can help you by working, or doing part-time jobs or work from home etc.
